Change Implementation Plan

Abstract

The inclusion of tutoring programs that focus on immediate completion of assignments and student availability into the programs offered by a national online tutoring company has disrupted the preparation and role satisfaction of tutors. These tutors are trained to provide long term programs around holistic success in academics and student well being designed towards individual goals, and their training centers around the one-to-one tutor-student relationship. The global trend of meeting students’ “on demand” needs requires tutors to shift their perspective on what success as a tutor and as a student means. This Change Implementation Plan will serve as a guideline for professional development to meet the training needs of the tutors by identification of the change itself, clarification of the stakeholders’ roles, providing data for context of the change, analyze the challenges while discussing strategies to address them, clarify ISTE standards compliance, and ensure inclusion for all stakeholders.
